Privacy Policy

1) What we collect

• Account info: email and password for login.
• Profile claim: you enter your legal name and date of birth. We store a secure fingerprint (hash) used for matching and fraud prevention; we do not store raw DOB in plaintext.
• ID verification: identity verification is performed by Stripe Identity. We store a verification status and a normalized name check value (first + last) to confirm your claim matches your verified identity.
• Relationship data: invites sent/received, relationship status (active/ended), timestamps, and (if applicable) breakup reason you submit.
• Search and billing: when you search, we record that a search occurred and bill usage/credits. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

2) How search works (consent + privacy)

• You must have an account to search.
• Searching costs credits (paid feature); account creation is free.
• We may limit search visibility and results to prevent misuse.

3) How we use your information

• To provide account access, invite/accept flows, and relationship verification.
• To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized searches.
• To process payments and enforce credit usage.
• To support customer service and improve site reliability.

4) Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the service (e.g., Stripe for payments and ID verification), and when required by law.

5) Your choices

• You can choose whether to claim your profile and verify your ID.
• You can end a relationship at any time (a breakup reason may be required).
• You may request support for account access or data questions via the Support page.

6) Security

We use standard security practices and limit the data we store. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and reduce risk by design.
